Professional Djembe Drums
These are Professional Quality Djembe drums I've collected that have it all; sound heart wood, quality rope, a nice playing edge, and a fine goat skin head. Besides the great sound definition I look for, these djembe drums are beautifully carved and finished. Why try to learn on an inferior instrument? Learning is difficult enough! These need not be hit hard to get good sound definition.Don't be confused! We measure the djembe drum by the outside diameter of the wood, others often tell you the ring size which is 1-2 inches larger! A twelve inch drum here will equal what others call a 13 inch drum! Drums marked SOLD! are gone, but I can check and see if a djembe drum similar is available.

These were shipped from Conakry this August and the djembes have all the improvements you can imagine. Beautiful wood shells were collected for months and then turned over to the finest djembe finish carvers in Conakry. They truly honored this gorgeous wood with their skill. Add an imported Danish Oil and wax finish to really bring out the beauty and grain. Headed by the best craftsman in Guinea, with quality American rope, these drums SING!! I don't have any problem declaring these are the best built and sounding professional djembe drums in the world. You simply cannot find anywhere a better djembe drum.

Akajou / Djala wood drums

This tall akajou wood drum is step carved on both trumpet and bowl bottom. It has rows of finely carved angles (mountains) and staccato dots (clouds). Young orangish wood here, but completely sound and a shape and form to create great sounds. It has a thin rolled edge skin held with red rope. Gift yourself clear tones, a piercing slap, and low bass.

Exquisitely carved with the internal spiral pattern and deep bowl of Guinea djembes. Rubber non slip base protection.
