Tama Talking Drum Dougoura Wood is a hand drum instrument whose pitch can be regulated by clamping it under the armpit and hitting with a curved stick. Known as the 'talking drum' it has a broad range of sounds with a skilled hand. This is a quality instrument, not one of the toys you may find for sale. Carved of dense Dougoua wood it is double headed with goat skin, and includes playing stick. 13.75 x 6 inches wide.
In former times only played by West African Griots. Nowadays, often used in popular music and at wedding parties.
